Coherent has expanded its revolutionary PowerMax™-USB/RS series of laser power measurement products with the addition of several new sensors.

This interface allows remote control of FEMTO amplifiers and photoreceivers from a standard Windows PC with USB port. Amplifier settings like gain, filters, sensitivity and phase can be remotely controlled through a simple software that is delivered with the interface hardware on CD.

The new Verdi G7 green pump laser is based on Coherent’s high power OPSL (Optically Pumped Semiconductor Laser) technology and enables new levels of performance providing a guaranteed minimum power of 7 Watts respectively in a TEM₀₀ output beam. Intended principally for pumping Ti:Sapphire laser systems, this new laser delivers higher reliability, lower cost of ownership and lower noise (<0.03 % rms) than competitive multi-longitudinal mode lasers based on diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) technology.
